Pour les deux prochaines soirées et nuits, les services médicaux seront réduits à l’urgence de l’Hôpital Barrie Memorial entre 20 h ce soir jusqu’à 08 h demain matin. Même scénario demain soir (jeudi) entre 20 h jusqu’à vendredi matin 08 h.
L’urgence demeurera ouverte et accessible en tout temps pour les cas urgents.
Les ambulances transporteront les patients vers l’urgence de l’Hôpital du Suroît à Salaberry-de-Valleyfield ou l’urgence de l’Hôpital Anna-Laberge à Châteauguay où ils seront pris en charge. Cette décision du CSSS du Haut-Saint-Laurent a été prise en raison d’une pénurie d’effectifs médicaux.
Les personnes dont l’état de santé ne nécessite pas une intervention urgente, ou qui ont besoin d’être conseillées sur leur condition, peuvent communiquer avec le service Info-Santé au 811. Elles peuvent aussi retarder leur visite à l’urgence après ces périodes ou se présenter à l’urgence de l’Hôpital du Suroît à Salaberry-de-Valleyfield ou à l’urgence de l’Hôpital Anna-Laberge à Châteauguay.

Reduction of medical services at the Emergency Department of the Haut-Saint-Laurent HSSC – Barrie Memorial Hospital
Medical services at the Emergency Department of the Barrie Memorial Hospital will be reduced during the following periods: Tonight, Wednesday, November 17th from 8:00 p.m. to Thursday, November 18th at 8:00 a.m. as well as Thursday, November 18th from 8:00 p.m. to Friday, November 19th at 8:00 a.m.
The Emergency Department will remain open and accessible at all times for urgent cases. Patients will be transported by ambulance to the Emergency Department of the Suroît Hospital or that of the Anna-Laberge Hospital where they will be taken charge of. This decision of the Haut-Saint-Laurent HSSC was taken due to a shortage of medical staff.
Persons whose state of health does not require an urgent intervention, or who need advice on their condition, may contact Info-Santé at 811. They can also delay their visit to Emergency to after these periods or go to the Emergency Department of either the Suroît Hospital in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield or the Emergency Department of the Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay.
